Spicy Honey Chicken

Last night I was looking to try something new. I like to cook chicken most nights. I love chicken thighs. They come out much more tender and flavorful. I decided to go all out and make mashed potatoes and greens beans as well. Scott loved this dinner and requested that I pack all the left overs for his lunch for today. Here are the steps for my recipe and let me know what you think.

In a small bowl I mixed the seasonings chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and cumin.

Cover the chicken with the seasonings. Make sure the chicken is dry and add to a skillet with 2 tbsp oil. Sear on each side for 3 to 4 minutes each side.

Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet. Brush on the Honey mixture and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken over and add the rest of the honey mixture.

Spicy Honey Chicken Thighs

1 TBSP Chili Powder

1 TBSP Garlic Powder

1 TSP Cumin

1 TSP Salt

3 TBSP Honey

1 TBSP Vinegar your choice

4 Chicken Thighs

2 TBSP Olive Oil

1. Mix first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.

2. Add the chicken and toss until covered with spices.

3. Mix honey and vinegar in a small bowl.

4.Sear the chicken with the olive oil in a medium skillet until golden brown.

5. Place the chicken on baking sheet. Coat in Honey and Vinegar mixture.

6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
