Movie Night: “How far would you go to get your answers?”

Scott and I spent this Sunday evening going to eat at Roscoe’s to have some amazing chicken and waffles and see the movie Prometheus.

Waiting outside Roscoe’s. They have the best chicken and waffles on the planet!

The front of Roscoe’s. You would think you are at a club they way they make you wait outside. Worth it though!

Waiting by the book section in Hollywood Arclight. The line was so long.

Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. — (C) Official Site

I heard a lot of about this movie. Lots of different rumors that it was the prequel to Aliens. That it is the best of Ridley’s movies. I wish the movie had started at the point where everyone except Elizabeth Shaw and the robot, David dies and Earth was saved and then see where Shaw goes on her jouney through space to find the creaters of human life. The characters were undeveloped, You keep bits and pieces of side stories but that’s it. Like, what’s the story with David, the robot? How is he so much like a human? What’s the story with Charlize Theron and her Father? Why do they hate eachother so much? What did she go through to get into being a captain on a spaceship? This film left a lot of questions unanswered. I give it a C at best. This film was more about where humans come from that the beginning of Aliens. Great visulas though. Maybe there will be another movie. Seeing how this one went I think don’t hold your breath waiting.
