The Best Brush Set

Brush Kit

Over the years I have used a lot of brushes. Clients always ask me which brushes are crucial to have at home. These brushes will help you create a flawless face.

1. Bdellium Tools Bent Liner Brush $8.00

This liner brush looks weird but it’s easier to use on yourself than the straight version. It’s really great for creating the perfect winged eyeliner too.

The smudge brush is great if you prefer pencil liners. You can smooth out any uneven eyeliner. Use it to smoke your eyes as much as you want.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt Brush $49.00

This is a must have brush for contouring, highlighting, and powdering under the eyes. The tip allows you to place powder, bronzer, and highlight where you want it and you can blend with the outer edges.

6. Sephora Collection Fan brush #65 $27.00

Add the finishing touches to your look with this brush that dusts, wipes, and redistributes powders along your features. I like to use this brush for applying highlighter or blush lightly at the end of the makeup application.

7. Bdellium Studio 947 Small Foundation Brush $12.00

If you are using a cream or liquid foundation you need a foundation brush to apply evenly. This brush is small enough to be used as a concealer brush also. The blend out with a beautyblender.

8. Bdellium Studio Finishing 955 Brush $14.00

I use this brush to apply bronzer or powder all over the face. I like a duel fiber brush because the white fibers give an airbrush effect and buff the product seamlessly into the skin without moving your foundation or other powders.

Beauty Review: Borghese B Lip Gloss

I love lip gloss. I have a serious problem. I am always looking for a new gloss. I know many of you have the same issue. It’s so easy to get carried away and not realize how many you have. Once I emptied my purse and found that I had 12 glosses in there!

There are so many different formulas. Every line has a gloss. How do you know which one to buy? A lot of companies claim to be more moisturizing, have more vitamins, more pigment, less pigment, anti-aging ingredients, sunscreen. The claims never end. I am going to try a new gloss every week and narrow it down to the best gloss!

First up is Borghese B Lip Gloss in Fiore. The color is great. A beautiful shimmery nude. Too much sparkle so the more mature ladies doesn’t have to worry about the sparkles. This is a very sophisticated shimmer. The formula is a bit sticky and when I rub my lips together I can feel the thick formula because it is a long wear formula. There is no sunscreen in this formula. This is a deal breaker for me. Protect your lips!

So, beautiful color, sticky and thick formula, no sunscreen. However it does keep the lips hydrated with Aloe, Jojoba Oil, and Avocado Oil. I give this lip gloss two stars.

$10 and Under: Hair

My pick this week for $10 and under is Oscar Blandi di Jasmine Proteine Mist for Restyling Hair. Almost everyone I know does not wash their hair every single day. If your hair is like mine it can be a little dry and get a little frizzy. I like this product because I can restyle and infuse soy and wheat proteins into my hair. This styling aid seals the cuticle so your hair can withstand the heat from your curling iron, flat-iron, or blow dryer and you can achieve the same look you had from the day before!
